PHILLY PONNIAH CHARTERED WEALTH MANAGER & FINANCIAL COACH
But somewhere between the income hitting your account and building actual wealth, something isn't clicking. You think you earn enough—you know you earn enough—but you don't feel confident about where it's going. You're not sure you're making the right decisions. And you're definitely not sure who to ask.
You're not bad with money. You just haven't had the right support.
I started working in wealth management in 2011. And for the first few years, I didn't invest a penny of my own money.
I was literally an investment manager—and I still couldn't get myself to do it.
So when I watched bright friends stay stuck in cash for years, I understood. If it was this hard for me, inside the industry, how was anyone outside it supposed to figure it out?
That question is why I do this work now. I help high earners—people who are excellent at making money—get equally good at keeping it and growing it.
I sit somewhere between the mindset coaches who talk about "money blocks" and the financial planners who hand you a spreadsheet and send you on your way.
Because money is never just about the numbers. It's about what you were taught, what you believe, what you're afraid of, and what you actually want your life to look like.
I work with both. The practical mechanics—where to put it, how to protect it, what the options actually are. And the harder stuff underneath—why you haven't done it yet, what's getting in the way, and what would help you finally feel sorted.
I'm not going to tell you to scrimp.
I spend money—because I'm intentional about what matters to me. The hotel bar cocktail, the good holiday, the things that make life feel like yours. I'm not interested in deprivation. I'm interested in helping you build wealth and enjoy your life while you're doing it.
The word I hear most is relief.
Relief that they finally understand what's going on with their money. Relief that someone's in their corner who actually gets it. Relief that they've started—and that they don't have to carry it alone anymore.
I play tennis every week. I'm in a book group with friends that's been meeting monthly since 2011. I spent four months in Bologna learning Italian, which mostly means I can order confidently and hold my own at an aperitivo.
I live in North London with my husband and our two boys.
